The lump on my back was cellulitis – we think the cat bit me when we were playing. I had quite a lot of antibiotics because it was growing so fast but I’m fine now. Special thanks to Dawn and Katie for checking up on me. It’s really cold today. We had a big hailstorm, which is unusual for us, and even with the heater on high it is only 16 degrees in Mum’s home office. If I could get into the space between the heater’s fins, instead of just right up against them, I would. Mum says I’m a born heat-hog. Whatever!
Yesterday Tony discovered a lump on Faith’s back, sort of neck/shoulder area, so he took her to see our vet, Rebecca, this morning. Knowing our history, she did a biopsy and sent it off to Massey Vets. The lump had grown a lot overnight, so she had this shaved patch under her mane. Because Bec knows us so well, she went back to work just on 5 to see if the results were in, even though she finishes at 3 and has young kids. (bless her…). It’s some sort of cellulitis, unknown cause – could even be that Goldie bit her — it’d hardly be the first time! So tomorrow morning she starts on antibiotics. Unfortunately they tend to make her vomit, so that’s a whole other saga.
